The Alaïa Open Winter Cup becomes the Alaïa Bay Open.
New name, but with the same format and just as good as the last few years.
The Alaia Bay Open will take place on November 2nd & 3rd. The riders meeting will take place on Friday evening.
Two days of fierce competition will bring together around 70-80 surfers in six! different categories: Open Women/Men and Junior Girls (U16), Junior Boys (U16) and new: Open Heroes and Bodyboard:
- Open Heroes 🦸🏼♀️ – for fun, for beginners or for those who do not want to compete with the very best yet (all ages). The format is the same as the masters format at the Oana Open 2024. All over35 athletes collect points for the masters division.
- Attention Bodyboarder – there will be a bodyboard division. you will surf a preliminary round and the best will qualify for the final
The competition is open to both Swiss and international surfers. An overall podium will reward the winners in each category, regardless of nationality.
The Alaïa Bay Open is also the final stage of the Edelweiss Swiss Tour, a multidisciplinary Swiss surfing championship (Rapid Surfing and Wavepool Surfing). At the end of this last competition, an overall ranking will be established and an overall champion will be crowned*.
