Edelweiss Surf Tour 2024: Surfing Thrills in the Swiss Alps
The Alaïa Bay Open 2024 brought the Edelweiss Surf Tour to a spectacular close. Set against the stunning Alpine backdrop in Sion, the event crowned champions Michel Roque and Sophia Medina (BR) in the Men’s and Women’s categories, with Sue Gartmann (CH) and Joshua Karbus (IR) dominating the Junior divisions. Swiss surfers Mark Fessler and Anna Lemann triumphed in the Masters.
Perfect weather, chilly 10°C waves, and breathtaking scenery set the stage for two days of high-level competition. Alaïa Bay proved once again to be a unique surf destination, blending adrenaline and natural beauty.
With camaraderie, world-class talent, and unforgettable performances, the Alaïa Bay Open 2024 leaves a lasting legacy in the heart of the Alps.
