This year, the tour is shaking things up with four exhilarating stops, featuring two disciplines and an expanded range of divisions, promising an unforgettable surfing experience for all participants.

What’s New

1. Expanded Divisions: In addition to the existing four divisions, the Edelweiss Surf Tour is proud to introduce five divisions for 2024. The latest addition is the eagerly anticipated Master Division, catering to surfers aged over 35.Note: it cannot be guaranteed at every stop as it depends on the hours of competition available

2. Master Division Format: The Master Division brings a fresh approach to competition. Women and men surf in joint heats to determine the best 3-4 women and the best 3-4 men in the entire division. There will be a seeding round followed by a final qualifying round. The best Women and Men then go into the women’s or men’s final.

3. Registration for Masters: there is no difference between men and women when registering for the masters. there is a maximum number of places for the masters division (every stopp can be different). The places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis, the number of men and women does not matter. For instance, if there are 12 available slots, they may be occupied by 8 women and 4 men, or vice versa.

4. Junior Division Adjustments: The Junior Divisions have been refined, with the Junior category now exclusively for surfers under 16 years old. Meanwhile, under 18 juniors will compete alongside the adults, accumulating points for the overall ranking.

Although individual stops cannot be won in the under 18 category, surfers will contend for the title of the best under 18 junior at the tour’s conclusion.
